ABOUT TENDRIL: THE BANSHEE CHRONICLES
TENDRIL: The Banshee Chronicles is an science fiction, comedy, and horror radio-play style podcast. It involves an action-adventure narrative with strong comedic parody elements, inspired by and playing off of themes found in Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Wars, Scooby Doo, Lovecraftian literature, Doctor Who, Mass Effect, Overwatch, and more. It follows the story of the Banshee Crew, a ragtag trio who travels to various planets to investigate and thwart paranormal mysteries, while facing threats beyond their imagination - something more sinister, lurking in deep space.
THE HISTORY OF TENDRIL
It all began with a homebrew campaign for the tabletop game "Monster of the Week" in early 2018, with Ryan Borses as the GM, and fiancée Kaitlyn Radel and her two brothers, Bryan and Timothy, manning the character sheets. Together they plotted out the type of world they wanted to roleplay in - and before they knew it, they had all fallen in love with the idea of a science fiction world populated with characters and relationships that made them laugh and cry. Together, they decided they wanted to make this world available to everyone. So, Kaitlyn and Ryan, armed with a history of professional voice acting and extensive training in creative writing, performance, and music composition, began to create the podcast version of TENDRIL.
